Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews proposed amendments to zoning ordinances, site plans and plat applications, and also makes recommendations to the Council regarding the current and future development of the Town of Broadus. 

The Town of Broadus and Powder River County have a combined City/County Planning Board per MCA board and committee conditions. 

The Town of Broadus has a Zoning Board that the Town Council comissions when necessary. As of Janaury 2026, the board has not been requried and does not contain any active members. All zoning is outlined in the Town of Broadus Zoning Ordinance found at: Ordinances | Town of Broadus
