Water Rates & Policies

Listed below, you will find the Town of Broadus current base water rates. A base water rate is a base rate that is constant for a customer once they have connected to the Town of Broadus water system. This fee is a standard fee to have access to the Town Water system. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you. 

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call the phone numbers provided. We will do everything possible to locate the problem with your water service.

WATER BASE RATES FOR ESTABLISHED PROPERTIES:

NEW HOOKUPS:

For new hookups from an empty or vacant lot the water and sewer lines must be connected from the main lines to the property. A new hookup; placing new pipe from the main water line to the property is a base rate of $1,100 plus any additional charges for employee or contract labor, as well as any asphalt or cold mix if repairs are necessary to road/street/alley after isntallation. This was put into effect in the November 6, 2024 Town of Broadus REgular Town Council Meeting. The sewer line new hookup according to the Town of Brodaus 2024-03 Water Utility Ordinance states that the property owner is resposnible for paying for the services to place a new line from the sewer main line to the property. There are a couple local businesses that can complete this service such as B&L Traub Inc. and Irish Backhoe & Trenching Services LLC .
